Anything But Uniform

Fit for a nation
like no other.

Designing a national carrier’s uniform? No small feat. Just ask Emilia Wickstead — NZ-born, UK-based designer who reimagined Air New Zealand’s look for the first time in 15 years.

Launched April 2025, the new uniform wowed critics worldwide — the UK’s Telegraph called it “the most elegant uniform in the skies,” while Conde Nast hailed it a “masterclass in cultural celebration.”

The campaign, Anything But Uniform, sparked global buzz with a stunning South Island shoot by Derek Henderson and a mini-doco revealing the creative magic behind the scenes.

With content that felt more fashion house than airline, plus a nationwide OOH push, the launch was a hit.

Soon, over 6,000 Air New Zealanders will wear this iconic new chapter with pride.
